Meh, we are still in South Korea, Okinawa Japan, Guantanamo, West Germany, and other former war locations. Not sure why we need to rush out of Iraq and should keep a massive base on the outskirts there to be a sign of stability for the region. Otherwise there's a power vacuum and the crazy people there get wild ideas.

Those are the places we put in democracies and paid with blood and money to do so. Democracies don't war with other democracies = reductions of wars.
You are right, but one of those countries has a majority that follow a religion that sorely needs to modernize, and the others do not.
