:(

Some of us don't have good beard genes

Mine doesn't look that bad I don't think

edit: objectively, maybe it is. Mine's red so maybe that makes it better? (I should just shave shouldn't I?) My mom just said it looks like a weird version of me :(

Shave it clean and try again every year. I couldn't really grow a decent beard until my 40's. This covid shit made it easy for me to just let everything sprout and it's been awesome. I typically would shave and go short hair for the summer (NC summers can be unkind) but this year, I haven't really noticed - its just become part of me :)

You have given me hope. I think my hair style probably helps balance out my overall look (just kinda swooshed to one side).

I haven't been back to the barber yet this year because I like my hair being longer and I don't think longer hair would look quite right without something on the lower half of my face.

This picture bothers me way more than it should.

Find your style - At first I would kind of burr down my stache. It would constantly be irritating because it required constantly/daily trimming. Finally just said fuck it, got some stache wax, now starting to sculpt a decent upper trim heh. Next year maybe fumanchu or just go full Mel Gibson.

So shave. A couple of years from now you will have a better beard.
