Bush succeeded. In 2011 Iraq was stable, I know because I was there.
Obama gave Biden the job of renegotiating the status of forces agreement and either intentionally or stupidly screwed it up and we withdrew.
The ME would be a vastly different place if Obama had followed through. But he couldn't allow Bush to be seen as successful so he tanked the whole endeavor. With permanent US bases in Iraq -- just like Japan, just like Germany -- Iraq would have been a beacon of hope for the entire region.
Instead, they lost hope and erupted into the Arab Spring. With violence and suffering engulfing the entire region, waves of migrants fled for Europe. The UK took as many as it could and said FU EU and BTFO.
I'm not real big on our bases in those other countries either.
I don't want to be the world police, I don't want to be some big brother to recovering nations. They gotta figure their own shit out, because we have a failing narco state on our South border nobody seems to give a shit about fixing.
I just want to know if Iraq is in a position to stand on it's own. Don't get me wrong I hate that we are over there but look at Obama, he drew down some troops with zero transition plan and the world was plagued with the greatest evil of the 21st century, ISIS. They raped women/children, committed genocides, enforced barbaric sharia law, and practiced wholesale slavery. I do not want a repeat of ISIS because if there is a power vacuum and either Iraq nor our allies are able to fill the hole another ISIS is exactly what we will get and 5-10 years down the line we will have a lot more terrorist attack on US soil.
I just want to make sure there is a transition plan in place before the United States withdraws so another regime such as ISIS does not rise again.
We can either stay there forever and guarantee no rebel groups destabilize it or leave and wish the Iraq government the best in keeping it stabilized. We’ve been there 20 years. That’s long enough.
...There will be another 9/11....
MIC and leftists and DS will not allow it.
Something terrible will happen that will "make" him stay...
How is this not front page news
Because the “news” is fake
Thats my youth you're talking about... laugh a little, cry a lot.
Since Obama was awarded for talking about it, actually doing it will for sure get Trump a Nobel Peace Prize, right?

All because Joe Biden is retarded.

Hate to break it to you but Bush is deepest of deep state.
