China is outpacing the us in the innovation race, without a doubt. We have allowed the Silicon Valley to get fat and lazy on big tech monopolies and Wall Street to strip our industrial companies of the ability to invest profits in research and development. The last stand is government research dollars, and it’s being funneled into politicized research programs.
