Is there somewhere that somebody who has seen the movie explains what the deal with it is? All I got is that it's about some French teen dance troup or something, and netfllix advertised it as being sexy?

I’m never going to watch it, but according to the broad who made it, it’s supposed to be critical of how society sexualizes young girls. While that’s a noble goal, depicting pre-teen girls twerking in skimpy outfits probably isn’t the best way to achieve that goal.

I really doubt that, sounds like an excuse. Let's just assume she isn't full of shit (she is) her entire argument is literally "CP is bad, let's make a movie that shows CP".

Thanks for your reply. I kind of feel like this kind of stuff (getting upset over some movie) distracts from the actual sex predators / pizzagate actual child rape and child trafficking "conspiracy of silence" epstein stuff that has been going on for a long time. Which I guess is the NYT's angle here. Instead of saying we're upset about politicians raping kids, and being blackmailed, and sex slavery, they're making it out that we're upset about stuff you could see a million times a day on TikTok. I don't even have Netflix, not going to see the movie ever either.
