When you flee California, don't turn around and look back. You'll be turned into a pillar of salt, and be hit with a hefty state salt tax.

Play stupid games...

Newsom was cutting the Cal Fire Budget while giving $10,000,000 to ILLEGAL ALIENS.

He appears to be unable to pay his property taxes in a timely manner.

And he's just a fucking idiot...

I remember there were articles at the start of the year where it turned out that the CA government had stopped clearing dead trees to protect vulnerable species.

TEXinLA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup. Add to that the lack of access to many forested areas. When logging was allowed, a network of roads was maintained in remote forests.

These roads were valuable for firefighters because they allowed access during fires. Now the roads are overgrown and impassible, limiting the effectiveness of ground crews.

yep, I was in Cambria 2 weeks ago when a car hit a gas line and started a business on fire. The town burned for 30 minutes before Cal Fire showed up.

Wow. Thanks, Governor Newsom.

Oh it could be managed if they didn't make it illegal to clear the brush because of the environmentalist

You could install a sprinkler system in the roof, and a gutter system at the base of the house to recycle water. Maybe even a spare connection to a tank, swimming pool, or well.

water --> vapor

2
TEXinLA 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's true. But $10,000,000 is better spent on Cal Fire than on illegal aliens.

California in the 1890s imported tons of Eucalyptus trees for railroad ties, then allowed them to grow and spread after being planted all over the place. Technically an invasive species. These trees shed bark and oil all over the place, creating a literal tinder box everywhere and the CA environmentalists refuse to let these trees be maintained, which burns thousands out of their homes every year.

But Hollywood wants you to think their state is burning because your work truck six states away is causing climate change.

Nope, you changed the climate in your state over a century ago and refuse to clean up after yourselves.

political correctness is killing people. Due to the whining of the Sierra Club and puppets like Gretta Thunberg, PG&E has been bullied into reducing the clearance around power lines. Back in the day, high tension lines had 200 foot clearance to reduce fires when high winds take out power lines. This is the REAL REASON FOR POWER BLACKOUTS. They are taking the grid down because they know that there's extreme risk of fire. NOT A POWER SHORTAGE.

This also increases misery, which, at its tipping point, leaves people vulnerable to radical changes in their government.

2
RadMaxBTD [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Radical change in California can only go two ways… Right to Murica or Left to Chyna. We are already in the early stages of Venezuela.

When Santa Anas come through here their limbs fly off and kill people smash into cars etc.

They are the one the top 3 tallest trees.

Edit: There's a giant one outside my window in Horellywood.

I’m in California and this is all truly fucked up. We have hazardous air warnings (90 AQI - don’t go outside) the past two days w/98 degree heat. The sun was completely blocked today, zero visibility and grey, thick fog of smoke everywhere. We have a small generator and are preparing for power blackouts this weekend. #CaliforniaDreamin

2
RadMaxBTD [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hear you Nellie... our air quality was 198 in the Hazardous for everyone range. But on the bright side, I had a mask to reduce the lung burns.

2
Nellie_the_Beaut 2 points ago +2 / -0

God bless you. Try not to go out if you can. I have asthma so have to stay inside. We have 4 air filters - an industrial Austin and 3 Levoits - going and it’s taking the edge off the smoke smell that creeps into the house. Keep safe!

Masks will also help you pass out faster. I think I may just buy a house and leave before November.

The mask isn't to protect you from the smoke it's to protect the smoke from you!

Cool. Next, let's shut off their water imports from Nevada and begin blockading the cities to starve them out.

California's geography is a natural deathtrap with many easily-blockaded chokepoints that limit effectively all overland travel into and out of San Diego and Los Angeles.

Kern County is based, and Palmdale and Victorville control the only two routes over the San Gabriels to the north of Los Angeles. The ascent up these routes is extremely vulnerable to attack and nobody would make them up intact. The El Cajon pass could be simply destroyed, the highway rendered impassable, and it would take years to rebuild.

El Centro is a great chokepoint but it's absolutely overflowing with fucking illegals. It also has a lot of crops. I would suggest entering to poison all the crops and then falling back outside the city along the I-8.

Palm Springs, Ventura, and Santa Clarita are the last major routes into Los Angeles. If you hold these points, you can starve LA.

San Francisco would be much harder to starve out due to its proximity to the Central Valley and strange geography. I would destroy the bridges, and use artillery stationed in Golden Gate Park to recreate Passchendale on downtown San Francisco. The communists will be forced to flee south, either along PCH (which you can turn into a killing field) or into San Jose. If you set up strongpoints on the 101 and consolidate everyone into San Jose, then the dark work begins.

Yep. Someone could blast the California aqueduct in the valley end Los Angeles in an afternoon.

Is that the Democrat challenge?

Green Marxists let natural gas contracts lapse with nothing to replace them because global warming. Power Commission warned that this would lead to blackouts. Green Marxists: so what?

Green Marxists also blocking desalination plants because they might harm plankton

My allergies are driving me nuts two states over...

California sets itself on fire at least yearly. Why can't they at least get their forestry straight? They'd save a lot more trees that way. Yeah, I know, lefties, but it's annoying!

3
RadMaxBTD [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

We are controlled by Lefists who think that nature should be left natural. But as with all things Libtardia… they deny the science that disagrees with their religion. So, instead of hiring homeless people to rake the needles, we give them tents, needles and a sidewalk to poop on.

Sooooo, the masks are supposed to stop Corona, but it's ineffective for smoke and ash.... Hrmm, I guess you can give people information, but not intelligence.
