I respect that new discoveries can be made and stances must be updated. But when people get militant in forcing "tHe ScIeNcE iS sEtTlEd! yOu'Re KiLlInG tHe EaRtH!!!" crap, I check out. Don't scream at me that my steak is murdering trees.
We know that the Earth is exiting an ice age. The Earth will continue to warm until all the ice melts and humans get a new continent. This has happened 1000's of times over billions of years. Life will be FINE - even if we're speeding it up, which i doubt. Why do I doubt? Because science has been highly politicized. I don't know how to fix this problem. But the first thing I look for when a new discovery is made is who funded it. I don't trust nameless "scientists" or "experts" who are told to find an outcome that's favorable to their patrons.
“Science” today isn’t about testing and observing a hypothesis. It is now about:
Building a computer model
Inputting data to calibrate what you want
If the data doesn’t match your ideology, change the inputs and their dimensions
Make incessant arguments from authority
