I believe I have come up with a way to stop the left wing mail-in scheme. I think that in an election that is fair and conducted normally, Trump wins in a landslide electorally. However I think that in this election that is coming up Biden has the upper hand because they've figured out how to steal the election without the need for any outright fraud.
As they point out, there really hasn't been much widespread fraud in our national elections. Now this isn't because Dems wouldn't do it, their primaries are riddled with fraud, but they have been unable to really carry that over to national votes.
The fact that they didn't manage to steal the election with fraud in 2016, after they had rigged the primaries and I was sure they would, I started thinking that maybe it's either harder than we think to pull off. Maybe it's too large a risk.
But if they're not pushing mail in to make things easier for fraud then why is that their clear plan forward? The advantage Trump has over Biden is not having more people who plan to be voters for him. there are probably more Democrats than Trump voters if we are being realistic, propaganda is effective.
No, his advantage is largely due to the tremendous gap in enthusiasm between Trump and Biden voters. Very few people are excited to vote for Joe and Kamala, but they would if it came down to it purely because they hate trump. We know what these voters usually do on election day, and a good portion of them stay home. They would have voted Biden, but they're not going to make an effort or put in any amount of work to do so. This could realistically be about 30% of people (who tell polls they would vote for Biden) who end up just staying home. These candidates are really that unappealing and unpopular with the left. Just for an idea of what this could mean in terms of real outcomes... Let's say there is a 55-45 split, 55 for Biden and 45 for Trump. Well, a 30% stay home rate would bring Biden down down to 38.5%.
On the flip side, most Trump voters will do anything to vote for him, they are tremendously enthusiastic and excited. At most around 5% of people who claim they're Trump voters in polls might stay home on election day. If we go off the assumed 55-45 biden trump split, this would bring Trump to 42.5%. We would go from 55-45 favoring Biden when it comes purely to people's preference, but there is a 38-43 split in favor of Trump when it comes to people's willingness to actually drive to a poll, standing in line, and voting for him. A 38-42 type of advantage for Trump and we would see an electoral landslide as a result.
By sending ballots to every single voter that is registered this will remove any need for effort to be put forth to vote. This would make it so that the 30% of democratic voters who would have stayed home will probably end up voting for Biden. It was brought to them with no effort in the same way polling company that calls them at home is, and we would probably see similar results.
a 38-43 trump landslide win flipped to a 55-45 Biden advantage just by removing the the need to actually do something to vote for a candidate.
They would do this all without the need for even one single fraudulent vote. If you also think about how many black city voters would be added in red states, this spells trouble. Blacks are one of the communities least enthusiastic about voting for a biden harris ticket, but many of them still would pick them over Trump if they could do so without having to make an effort. As a result of this alone could see Red States go blue that would never have a chance otherwise. Florida. Indiana. Ohio.
As a terrifying example, Trump trounced Hillary in Indiana and it wasn't close, he won 1,557,286 votes (57%) to her 1,033,266 (37%). The difference in this is over half a million votes. In fact Clinton only won 4 counties, monroe, marion, lake, and st joseph. But if just these 4 counties had managed 100 voter turnout from both democrat and republic registered voters,,similar to what we might expect with a mail in, and if each county retained the same percent of votes for Republican and the same percent for Democrats this would have resulted in Clinton beating Trump by a margin of 1,637,368 votes to 1,433,447 votes. That's a terrifying realization. This is in a state he won handily. In states that he won by much smaller margin it would only take a 5% increase in dem turnout to change the outcome. The point? The problem Trump is facing if they are able to negate the effect of the enthusiasm gap is compounded by the fact that higher population centers counties almost always have a higher percentage of democrat voters as well.
Put simply, a mail in vote would turn what should be a Trump landslide into a potential disaster and probably into a Biden victory. We are in real trouble with the scenario the Dems have set up going into the election.
I think our approach so far has been off the mark and ineffective.
Complaining does nothing, although I agree with what Trump has said, it will not change what's coming.
We need to find a way to stop the kind of mail in voting that features ballots being sent out indescrementntly.
We need to make sure people don't get ballots without first taking the time to go through the process of submitting a written request for that ballot.
If we can just ensure this step we're golden, the enthusiasm gap is back in play.
I recommend that Trump says something like,
"ok, fine. We can do mail in. However, it needs to be universal and consistent from state to state. We will set up a federal mail in system, but there will be some rules that every state will need to follow in order to ensure it is both safe and secure.
Rule 1. Ballots are only shipped to people who go online and fill out a form to apply for one. have them at "election2020.gov"
"We need to ensure that ballots are going to people who are still alive, living at the same address, and to make sure we do not have dogs and cats getting ballots. Clearly we can not just email them to every registered voter, this has led to chaos. We can ensure that everyone who wants a ballot is able to get one, however. This will be done through an easy and clear process that will be the same for every state.
They would just need to answer a few simple questions such as "what is your current address," name, age, etc, and once this was completed a ballot would be sent to the voter through the mail. They would then notify the election website that they had received the ballot, and the system would make sure no one else could use the same name and address to obtain another ballot.
-
There will be no mass mailing of ballots to all registered voters or the mass mailing of applications for ballots. The application process will be announced on TV, through the federal government, online, etc so that it is well known to all Americans. No applications or Ballots are allowed to be sent to someone who did not first request them. Period This is the crux of this entire idea.
-
People would still have the option to vote in public if they so chose.
-
The ballots can not be picked up by anyone other than an officially designated mail carrier assigned exclusively to the role of picking up votes that day.
-
Each vote collector would be accompanied by one or two independent election observers.. both the observer and carrier would be required to wear bodycams that would be publicly broadcasting their feeds online so that citizens could monitor every step of the process. If at any time all cameras went off the truck would be stopped and law enforcement would follow up with the situation to ensure that there was no fraud occurring. Cameras could also be set up in the cars and at election counting locations so that every step was done in the public eye. After each route ballots are immediately brought to the counting location and dropped off. The route is then repeated through out the day.
-
The votes would all be collected on November 3rd. Not after. Not before, (unless you ask for an absentee ballots. They would be different.) Polls end with one final round by the post carrier who had been designated to pick up votes, the last round would start at 9 PM (or whenever). After that final round is over, no more ballots are to be accepted from any source (outside of absentee ballots if that's how they already work), no arguments.
-
Voters would have options of several drop off boxes to choose from for a drop off location for their ballot. There would be specifically designated election drop off boxes that would be announced weeks before the election and marked as such in order to avoid confusion. They would have a postal worker and election observer make sure only ballots were put in the drop boxes. As the vote collector would be making several rounds throughout the day those concerned with people stealing ballots could wait for the person to come by before dropping their ballot in the box.
They could also give people the option of using their own mailbox with a raised flag.
-
The envelope sent with a ballot would be federally designed to ensure there was no way of determining who the vote was for without opening it. No serial numbers with an R or.a D on the OUTSIDE of the ballots. No see through paper or red dots on Republican ballots.
-
Each 5th or 10th, or 100th could potentially be tagged with a GPS device to make sure ballots do not wind up anywhere but the drop off boxes, the trucks, or the counting locations.location
-
There are designated vote counting locations where the special vote collectors would take them directly. The ballots would be fed into these machines, which would be responsible for unsealing them and reading the results. These facilities could also be publicly broadcast so people could keep an eye on things.
Introduce it like it's a peace offering to the democrats. "We know you have wanted mail in voting, we have decided to work with you on this issue by creating a proposal that would create a nationwide mail in voting system. This way we can ensure that American's can vote from the safety of their homes and also retain confidence in the election outcome."
If they refuse to sign a nationwide mail in system that follows the rules outlined, make it a voluntary service that would be provided to states that ask to be a part of it.
This would create a pretty clear public image issue for those states that would turn it down. Democrats have been demanding a vote by mail system for months, even withholding coronavirus relief until it was added, and here Trump is agreeing to set up a system. The left leaning states would look ridiculous turning it down, and would make people see that this mail in issue has never been about public safety.
Also, their plan to cause chaos using poorly thought out mail in policies and by allowing ballot harvesting will backfire. The plan is to blame Trump and claim that he caused the chaos by defunding the post office in order to suppress voters. How absurd would they look claiming this after they had turned federal assistance? They would look ridiculous blaming Trump after he had offered them an out, especially if every state that had accepted the federal system managed to pull off a smooth election and was able to post clear results on election night.
Also, if it is voluntary, most Republican states will sign up and be happy to accept the help and guidance, preventing the cities from becoming overrepresented through the mass mail scenario currently planned by dems. The blue states can do whatever they do as they're mostly decided anyway, and there is only so much damage that can be done. The swing states will have to be fought for, but this will at least give state leaders and easy out when they're being pressured to implement mail in. They can agree while also keeping republicans happy because they will trust the implementation.
I truly believe that this is our only hope of defeating the democrats plans for mail in voting. Like it or not it will be a large part of this election, let's throw a wrench in their plans and make sure that it's able to be carried out without inflating their turnout and without risk for chaos and to question Trump's legitimacy for another 4 years.
This needs to be started put into action yesterday, and if all efforts are out towards this there's no reason we couldn't pull it off.
I wanted to add that once a ballot is counted by the machine the account that was used to request the ballot would be updated to show that the ballot had been successfully recorded and with what location. This would ensure that no ballots could go missing without someone finding out about it, and no ballots would turn up weeks later. Give people 24-72 hours to report an unrecorded ballot otherwise it's considered invalid. That's plenty of time and this would also give people confidence in the results.
