Want to hear something about the IRA? They started as the Provisional Irish Republican Army (Provos). They were a paramilitary group affiliated with the rebel groups that wanted to form an independent Irish government before and during the Easter Rebellion. There were some Marxists in the original group, but its aims were not socialist in '16 and then on.
In the 60s (when the Irish Catholic POTUS and his family were at the peak of their political power) a rift formed and the IRA split. The Provos were the ones who bombed government and military buildings after giving a heads up because they just wanted the Brits out of Ireland. The group that would be known simply as the IRA embraced the socialist agenda and they had no problem targeting civilians. Up until that time, Irish people in the US openly supported the IRA and sent money to them. Once all this happened, support for BOTH the Provos and the IRA in the US evaporated because people didn't differentiate between the two, they just thought knew that the IRA was now a red organization.
Now, who else do we know of that likes to stir shit, infiltrate groups they don't like, and take them down from the inside? I'll give you a hint: it starts with a "C" and ends with an "entral Intelligence Agency."
My thesis is this: CIA didn't like that Americans supported Irish independence/unification as it came at the expense of our ally the UK's power on their own shores (or what they call their own shores) so they infiltrated (possibly with help from British intelligence), stirred up the reds, got them to split off and to form their own group that people could not defend or support because no one with an ounce of morality can defend or support violent socialism.
I know it sounds like Pepe Silvia should be involved somehow, but it's how intelligence agencies operate. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about how this related to current national news.
