They want to destroy our country, that's obvious. But you know what else they want? Their goal is to knock us "peasants" back into the pre-industrial times. Only the "nobles" deserve electricity, cars, air and heat.

The green new deal basically bans cars and airplanes for regular people. They don't want people to be able to travel and enjoy their lives because muh climate. We are at the end of an ice age of course the climate is changing you fucktards, now kindly fuck off while I fly to Miami because I work hard and need a vacation.

18
STEVE_HUFFMANS_BULL 18 points ago +18 / -0

We’re actually still in the ice age (as evidenced by the fact that there’s any amount of polar ice). This means that one of two things happens in the next few hundred/thousand years with or without human involvement:

  • we reenter the glacial period. Ice covers everything down to the mid 30 latitudes

  • we leave the ice age for good. Earth becomes about 10-15C hotter on average. This makes any desert areas a hellscape but opens the possibility of settlements and farming at higher latitudes

17
4moreyears 17 points ago +17 / -0

Correct. Its amazing how few people know this, yet everyone is a climate expert. No one is denying the climate changes, just that using dubious data collected over the past hundred years max to model geological trends in order to push globalist socialist agendas is utter bullshit.

Their answer to their proclaimed "climate emergency" is the end of capitalism. It's obvious what the replacement for capitalism will be, and commies have been weaponizing environmentalism toward that goal for decades. It's not a coincidence that Earth Day falls on Vladimir Lenin's birthday and that the inaugural Earth Day commemorated what would have been Lenin's 100th birthday.

Miami is a third world country.

1
4moreyears 1 point ago +2 / -1

Miami I can fly in Friday afternoon for a long weekend and stay in a boujjie hotel with a balcony over the beach. If you live there then sure, but I'm not looking to spend any time driving anywhere, I don't have a boat there, and I want to stay somewhere swanky. If I have more time off work I'll go somewhere else.

1
WestPalm 1 point ago +1 / -0

Can do the same in Key West. It's a nice change.

1
4moreyears 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is nice but its nearly impossible to get to and to find a decent hotel for a quick weekend getaway. Miami I can book last minute and go

I believe that whole-heartedly as well

1
HotRoastedNuts 1 point ago +2 / -1

Libshit Cuck Nixon ruined the space program.

1
Aambrick 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not necessarily. We would first colonize space at the L5 point. Then set up mining operations with a Mass Driver to deliver to L2. Then keep that up for about a decade or 2. Then mine the asteroids. Once that is going then Mars and any other part of the solar system would be an open board. That could be going on in 2014.

https://space.nss.org/l5-news-mass-driver-update/

A reference design telephone pole launcher would have the specifications shown below.

Vehicle: Telephone Pole Shaped, Mass of 1,000 kg Launch Velocity: 12.3 km/s Velocity at Top of Atmosphere: 11 km/s (escape velocity) Kinetic Energy at Launch: 76 x 109 joule Ablation Loss, Carbon Shield: 3% of mass Energy Loss: 20% Acceleration: 1,000 gee Launcher Length: 7.8 km Launch Duration: 1.26 second Average Force: 9.8 x 106 newton = 2.2 x 106 pound Average Power: 60 x 1000000 kilowatts Charging Time From 1,000 MW Power Plant: 1.5 minute

I did some math with this set up and for $200 BIllion 4-6 sq. miles can have over 8. Each one should be able to send over 960 roughly every 24 hour period if constantly. The ISS has a window operation of 20 minutes. About 5.4 tons or so can be done every hour of constant firing.

I would say just 200 in a 8 hour period per day would do fine. If each were uniform in 1 foot diameter by 30 feet then a structure the size of the Empire state building could be assembled in 1 year. That could be a Space dock.

Add shielding to the ISS to be able to go to Geosynchronous Orbit then that can be expanded into a literal Space Dock like it was originally intended for. That in total could take 5-8 years and that is still within the $200 Billion still. Add $600 Billion for a total of $800 Billion and we can send a small scale Mass Driver on the moon, build the L5 Space Manufacturing Location, Develop Habitats, Creating a Solar furnace, and many other things.

To put this clearly it is not about technology, Physics, or Money anymore. It is SOLELY POLITICS that is keeping this from happening.

*Destroy US production.

Russia will continue to produce, so will Venezuela, and China will continue to rape Africa for resources.

This has nothing to do with oil, and everything to do with destroying the US.

7
siliconia 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yup, always gotta remember that the world isn't he US and the EU. The reality is that if the United States or EU purposefully cripples themselves, a new world power will take its place, and it's not going to be the NWO. It's going to be some totalitarian communist country who will treat the rest of the world like cattle.

1
PepesCovfefe 1 point ago +1 / -0

Russia and China bought all the reserve assets of Venezuela, which are said to be the largest in the world. They will openly exploit them when they feel they can get away with having a military presence there, I.e. when/if we are weak enough to allow that.

21
Silencemennow 21 points ago +21 / -0

I cant imagine why else they'd want to weaken our country like this. It honestly baffles me. For decades they've destroyed our manufacturing ability and now they want to completely cripple our oil industry and put some of the hardest working people on food lines. Attacking manufacturing and oil workers would put some of the toughest Americans I've ever met out of work.

Yep, this move seems more to do with geopolitics than with "green" energy. We need America 100% dependent on foreign countries not only for ALL manufacturing, but now for ALL its energy needs, in order to make it impotent on the world stage going forward.

2
Dahnald2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Absolutely this. Our Independence from foreign energy and our own manufacturing is crucial for geopolitical peace

7

15
4moreyears 15 points ago +16 / -1

Ok, and replace oil with what? Oil imported from elsewhere?

8
Bramble 8 points ago +8 / -0

Nailed it. That way they get to claim "were carbon neutral" even though they just outsourced the pollution to a poor country.

7
4moreyears 7 points ago +7 / -0

Then they will give them billions of our taxpayer dollars to "help them fight climate change," like the Paris Agreement called for

3
Bramble 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think that is essentially the idea. Except it obviously leaves millions unemployed domestically on "green energy" that is impossible to achieve.

Sure, what could possibly go wrong with being at the mercy of the rest of the world for our energy needs?

China could already shut our country down just by cutting off all the manufacturing they do for us. Now imagine if they could cut off our energy too. There would be no need to go to war all theyd have to do is cut us off and wait til we meet their demands.

This is the complete opposite of what we need to do as a country. Bring back all manufacturing so we can be independent when the world goes to shit. Already saw a glimpse of how this would work when early in the Wuhan flu outbreak there were reports of China threatening to cut off our supply of prescription drugs.

There is no reason we should put America in a position to be held hostage by the demands of foreign nations because we have become incapable of meeting our own needs.

3
FireannDireach 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's not just energy. We use oil and oil-derived products for lubricants, plastics, millions of things - and all of them have jobs and companies attached to them.

5
DatNewbChemist 5 points ago +5 / -0

Do these people have any idea how much that would fuck us on the international stage??? We'd be as vulnerable to energy embargoes as the EU is. This would knock us to our knees when it comes to dealing with the Middle East and we'd be at the complete beck and call of Saudi Arabia and Iran

3
Cuzyoudbeinjail 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hardly anyone realizes that the dollar is directly tied to oil. As soon as the US stops producing oil is when the dollar hits rock bottom. Look up petrodollar and it's effect on the worldwide economy, then ask yourself why do they want to get rid of oil?

4
eddedandedamame 4 points ago +4 / -0

Secondary goal (maybe primary) here is also getting us re-entangled in the foreign affairs Trump is finally pulling us out of.

3

Having such a strong domestic energy policy allows the US to disengage from the Middle East. Literally ending wars.

3
PeterO 3 points ago +3 / -0

These 'green' policies are just a trick to get us back dependent on foreign oil so they can start the war machine back up.

Trump jas proven how quickly peace can be achieved of we are energy independent.

And if you truly care about the environment, its better to have energy production in the USA where legitimate regulations can be enforced rather than outsourcing pollution and slavery to third world countries

3

We stop drilling and other oil producers increase production. All we'd accomplish is lowering our GDP, increasing unemployment, and increase imports.

Hmm..where would we get our oil from then???

Lets see...Ukraine...Ukraine...Ukraine...any other countries? Oh, yes, Ukraine...

But, we'd have to make sure there were some really smart guys on Board of Directors of those oil companies...does anybody know of anybody on one of those boards?

10$/gallon gas. Think about that. Your household budget having to absorb 10$/gal gas. That means the $40 you're spending to fill the tank becomes 160$. Money has to come from somewhere. Last time I financed my gas thru Discover. 9/11-2016 fiasco, Congress not having the balls to get Big Oil off the dime. Took President Trump to bring those prices down. Getting out the M/E, Getting the drilling independents moving, etc. Elect Sen Biden, those days are gone. Economy won't recover for decades.

Oh, they'd still be drilling for oil.. just not American companies. Foreign companies would take over and our gas prices would shoot up to $10 a gallon minimum. All other countries who happen to have lots of oil .. happen to be not so friendly with us. On top of this, aAll US global business would cease to have any competitive edge, the price of literally every product sold in the US would skyrocket, jobs would diminish, wages would fall, and our economy would go to absolute shit. It would be The Great Depression II.

New Democrat Motto: Make Depression Great Again!
