Consider this. I drive in for a game. I stay at a hotel and the cost of a hotel are at least triple what they normally are. At least 4-5 meals at local restaurants. Supplies for tailgating. And we have not even gotten to the booze yet. I am not the only person. Thousands of fans are doing this same thing every weekend.
No tailgating for SEC schools is going to crush the ecosystem of many small businesses.
If I can get tickets via my season tickets, I will not be missing games. And will do so with no fear.
I like free Tibet honestly. May even have to change the name of our tailgate for a season. Something along the lines of GEAUX Tibet? I dunno. I am open to suggestions.

Sports aside, think of all the major universities in the south that are in the middle of nowhere, but have developed a decently sized city around their student and staff population. Their entire economy revolves around the students being there every fall winter and spring and living normal lives. The democrats would love to suffocate these cities if it means no more Drumpf.
College Station, Texas where Texas A&M is comes to mind. You have about 60,000 people there for 9 months specifically because of the university. If those people are limited in any way, then say goodbye to all the local businesses there. They even have their own small airport that was specifically built for students. Of course it is one of the few non-cucked universities remaining.
(I'm Canadian) one fall Saturday night in 1993 or 94 a convoy of A&M fans roared past us on the highway coming from Baton Rouge close to Texas/LA border and I decided to flash the Hook 'em Horns sign at them, just for fun. They nearly ran us off the highway. ha, I'm not upset/complaining I learned my lesson about college football in the South.
Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Clemson University in SC, too. Many of these places rely heavily on students to bolster their economy. The left wants to quash these places.
