Tbf being homosexual in and of itself isn't a sin if you remain celibate any more than any other temptation.Gay marriage is still an oxymoron though. As far as Catholic dems go,while it is true that being pro choice,pro LGBT,and a rapid movement toward marxism are a reality of the current democratic party,all of which are incompatible with Catholic morality it should be noted that many Catholics are actually very poorly catechized and have been infected by modernism.
Modernists gonna modernist.70% dont even believe in the real presence of Jesus in the eucharist despite being one of the oldest dogmas in the church that pretty much no one denied until enlightenment thinkers like Zwingli showed up. So is it really a surprise that so many are pro choice?
I'd say that depends.There are plenty of good Catholics who do everything they can to adhere to orthodoxy but there are also alot who's views need to be corrected.The church has been in worse spots though so I'm fairly confident the crisis will eventually pass.Arianism is the one that immediately springs to mind.Worst case scenario I see happening is the modernists eventually leaving to look for a religion that validates their preexisting views leaving a much smaller but also more orthodox church behind.
