I think “therapeutic” implies not vaccine.

100%, every time Trump has talked about therapeutics it has been mutually exclusive with vaccine.

This makes me happy in thinking he got the message about us not taking a vaccine ever. Therapeutics are the answer.

he has said multiple times when referring to therapeutics:

"whether it's a transfusion, or a shot..."

no thanks

Medications are commonly delivered through injection in a clinical setting, so "shot" doesn't necessarily imply vaccination.

Thanks. Just sharing what I have observed because I was hoping therapeutics meant HCQ. Personally I won't be injecting anything on the premise of kung flu

He's never said therapeutics are exclusively shots or transfusions. He uses the term more generally, referring to all treatments/therapies that are not a vaccine.

He's also said the following:.

Well, certainly, we do. And we have to get therapeutics. I'd rather have right now therapeutics that make people better. That's where remdesivir is really good.

AND

I would rather have, frankly, therapeutic, meaning something to make people better, if not a cure, at least a therapeutic...And it could be that hydroxychloroquine is going to be -- we don't lose anything with hydroxychloroquine.

Gotcha, I was just surprised the first time I heard him follow up "therapeutic" with "injection" and it's been more than once. Hoping for the best!

you are correct, just fyi therapeutic means some sort of treatment you take after you have a disease. a vaccine reduces the chances of you from getting said disease altogether

yes, that implies treatment. As in something we could take if we happen to get sick (you know, like more symptoms than just a loss of taste or 99 deg fever?) So that would mean that millions of people will need it (like more than the number that died in the Vietnam war!!)

Yes, I work for a big 5 health company. Therapy = a pill (limited usage) or long time usage (chronic condition)

These guys don't normally press conference on Friday...I wonder if you're going to see a major offensive at the RNC.
