Its an OK ad, but doesn't really speak to Trump's record, and as weird as things are, most of the country isn't in a defund the police zone. And once you've seen these ads a few times, they feel a bit stale.

Huawei is a multinational corporation. Bigger smart phone maker than Apple. It would be great to shut them down in the US, but "end their smartphone business" is hyperbolic.
If you read the full article, Trump's latest sanctions cut them off from virtually all of the worlds modern chipsets, essential for making their phones and 5G equipment. Paired with them being cut off from Google/Android, it means their phones will be hoplessly out of date and also won't work with the majority of apps.
Combined, the result is no one outside of China will want to buy their phones.
I imagine they'll just make their own chipsets and components. They have all the factory tooling and knowhow thanks to US companies outsourcing to China.
I went to a demo where they showed their workaround for not having Google Play... They push their own app store and browser version of Google products. It's not the best solution and will definitely hurt them in the short term but China is playing the long game. A lot of their phone tech is already superior to US companies through a combination of stealing and inventiveness. I despise the CCP but from a technical point of view they do have the jump on us.
