What I find funny is that there's a exponentially greater chance that the earth gets hit by an asteroid (.41%) than there is that someone contracts COvid-19 (.017).

It's 7 ft across and will burn up in the atmosphere. These events happen more often than you are aware of.

The one that exploded over Russia in 2013 was nine times as big and that still didn't even survive to make impact.

Conspiracy Theory: I think Nasa used their asteroid moving technology to slow it down/speed it up to make sure it hits earth on the election day.

The real conspiracy is there is no asteroid!

wont even make it to the ground

What happens depends on so many factors. The speed of the asteroid, the angle of "impact," The geology of the asteroid and the geology/geography of the "impact" site. If they come in at a shallow angle, it could quite easily skip off the atmosphere.

The things do hit more frequently than you know.

"...with the chance of a direct impact less than 1%."

Skip Probable, Burn up possible but unlikely, all the way to the ground unlikely. Damaging is near zero.

Well, it's 6.5 feet. At that size, I would say, please, please let's have a direct hit. It will make a glorious streak in the sky and the scientists can grab any rocks that land on ground. No problemo, simples.
