Hi everyone, I just found this website and I don't know where else to rant my frustrations about the current Democratic Party. I would absolutely be silenced everywhere else. So hear me out.
Let me just get it out there that I am as progressive as it can get and I disagree with Donald Trump on a lot of issues although I agree with trump on Foreign policy... but I digress. I support REAL policies such as Single Payer Healthcare, Tax funded college, ending the endless wars and foreign entanglements etc you name it I.am as lefty? that you can get. I have no time for their holier than thou, culture war bs.
After seeing the candidates I loved in the Democratic party get snubbed, pushed aside and forced to bow down to the fucking DNC, then proceed to coronate corrupt neocon hacks like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, I am done.
They pretend to care about racial and social justice, yet they nominate someone that wrote the Crime Bill and Kamala Harris who filled the prison system with minorities in California....with mostly non-violent offenders. Militarized the police and the reason why police brutality is rampant, especially on cities and states that are supposed to care about that. Then THEY DARE preach about BLM bs while this mess was their own making and they just deflect rightfully angry people.
They pretend to care about LGBT and Religious minorities as they bow down to Saudi Arabia and continue the senseless wars in the middle east.
They pretend to care about healthcare, but will always take donations from Big Pharma and will at most virtue signal that they care.
They. Are. Hypocrites. They offer no REAL solutions aside from Trump is bad.
I could go on and on and on about this... but I am with you guys this year.
We don't require absolutism, you don't HAVE to be a zealot to be on the right. An actual variety of people can find a home here, on the left, you submit to absolute control for every belief and every thought or be outcast.
The democratic party is not even the real left in my opinion, all they care about is power and control. They trick left leaning people like me, but will always screw you over.
In your defense there is corrupt Republicans. But in this election cycle it has been taken over by Trump. Im not a conservative either but Trump gets his power from the people. Biden Pelosi Romeny McCain Bush get their power from the elites.
I disagree on your general leftist ideas of taxing for free college and health care. I suggest you read applied economics or road to serfdom. I bet youve never had to use public health it is shit.
I heard almost exactly the same thing from Sargon of Akkad: apparently, he let them drag him along some distance, but realized in early 2016 that the left was leaving his comfort zone and came back. Doing so cost him his YouTube Partnership (monetization), Patreon, Teespring, and even Spreadshirt - he might be the most demonetized 'tuber on the planet. And he's still a bit further left than my Christian fundamentalist disposition likes to listen to on a regular basis.
Also, isn't the Democrat Party (CMIIR, but capitalized "Democrat" without "-ic" is the proper adjective for a registered member or bill, is it not?) about... ...I dunno... DEMOCRACY?? I'm all for calling them Dumbocrats, Demonrats, or Damnocrats instead of "Democrats" 'cus they're a bunch of totalitarian communists at this point.
