This is now a contemporary hot war, with all the trappings of one. Communism is 80% optics and cooperation, and many attempts at revolution have been squashed by an efficient military junta - they don't have the spine to really fight. They like writing papers, not firing bullets. Mao militarized quickly, and we need to act now to clear the field because these people we're currently fighting come from that camp.

The silver lining to this situation happening here - at least for now - is that were this to play out - where states' govs ordered their police not to interfere with rioting or violence and we saw bands of marauding thugs attacking people and property - the response by the legally armed Patriot would likely be swift and ultra violent.... it's not happening now because, IMO, there is still hope held tight that the LEO community will be able to hold the line...
