Firstly: Ad Hominems are not calling someone a bad word like pedophile. It is using personal attacks such as calling someone a bad name IN SUBSTITUTE FOR argumentation and evidence. That is why it is a logical fallacy.
Secondly: the most common people “ad homineming” Oskar Dirlewanger and his Sturmbrigade before the war ended were other Germans, and frequently other National Socialists. He was convicted as a pedophile who had raped 14 year olds in what was basically the Nazi Girl Scouts in 1934, by a National Socialist judiciary under the oversight of the part and its Fuhrer. And he and his unit had rather poor reputations as soldiers to start with.
So you don’t get to ignore the evidence as being an ad hominem written to vilify the “good name” of the NSDAP when the most damning primary source evidence comes from other National Socialists.

Social unity untempered by respect for private freedom and conscience will inevitably be oppressive and indeed self-destructive.

For ad hominem I was intending that I don't care about the personal flaws of individual members of the NSDAP, but I care about analyzing and judging their ideology. A bit like commies want to talk about the merits of communism as separate from Stalin or Mao's massacres. Besides, the only pedo you mentioned was sentenced by the party, so it's all good.
