I had this exact conversation with my aunt last night. She was saying that while she didn't like Biden and she especially didn't like Trump's rhetoric.

After she crossed examined me to deliver three things that Trump has done positive I asked her what about Trump's rhetoric she did not like.

"He called neo-nazis very fine people after someone had been killed"

I told her that this was simply not true and he in fact explicitly exempted them from his "very fine people" remark while outright condemning them in the next few sentences.

She did not buy it. later last night when I got home I sent her a video of the full talk with the specific part time stamped. She said "thanks" but I haven't heard anything further.

Many people would rather believe a lie that fits their perspective than believe a truth that contradicts their opinion.
