“Some say...”

Lazy-ass fucking reporters. Go do your research and tell us whether or not her actions violate the law or not, instead of saying “some say” and leaving it to the imagination whether or not the calls for arrest are just.

The "Some say" were just weasel words to protect the reporter from criticism. The rest of the sentence is stands on its own:

  • Lisa Lucas-Burke demanded Angela Greene be fired.
  • City charter says council members cannot call for firings or resignations.

Some say "My Tendies are a bit dry, but still quite tasty." Anyone have any good sauces for dipping?

Reporters don't believe in sauces.

Lazy reporters be like: "Fine! We won't use 'some say' anymore! We'll just link to Twitter comments that fit our political beliefs!"

Some say that the blue color they perceive overhead on clear days indicates that the sky is blue.

I see your point but it is a fine line. We can't have reporters and fake news giving legal opinions. It might have been better if they had gotten on record interviews with some legal experts.
