Sorry, but I've never seen any credible evidence. All the farmers I know say it's bullshit. And I wouldn't trust anything coming out of the EU about this. They are cucked to the gills on this environmental alarmist bullshit. They ban things and ask questions later.
This is true, Glyphosate is bad for you if you directly ingest it, it probably would cause cancer. The way it's applied to crops is measured in ounces per acre. And if you wash your vegetables it's all gone. Nobody is drinking it by the glass full.
Compared to almost all other forms of weed killer Glyphosate is in fact the safest, without it all of your crops would cost several times as much money, and would be much less plentiful.
Saying Glyphosate causes cancer is like saying Carbon Monoxide and NOx cause cancer, so we should ban the internal combustion engine and all ride our bikes. Fantastic, what a wonderful life that would lead to....
This logic is faulty. Farmers don't make science, they make food. They would have no idea if it does or doesn't cause cancer. Agricultural scientists on the other hand have the skills and tool to test these types of things.
Good luck playing in the pesticide fren. I won't be rolling the dice with my life to kill some weeds.
Aaron Blair, PhD, of the National Cancer Institute, and a lead researcher on the IARC’s study, says a panel of 17 scientists from around the world concluded that glyphosate might be dangerous. They looked at all publicly available and published studies on the chemical and its relationship to cancer. That included studies on people, animals, and laboratory cells. The panel didn’t consider reviews done by regulatory agencies.
In 3 out of the 4 human studies of American, Canadian, and Swedish agricultural workers, the IARC panel found a link between glyphosate and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system. A fourth multi-year study of 80,000 American farmers showed no relationship, Blair says.
The science I've seen is dubious. And I disagree. The farmers I know are sharp and knowledgeable people who have been using it for decades. Their opinion matters as least as much as some of the junk science I've seen.
Your logic is faulty. That's like saying "I know people who smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day and never got cancer. They lived to be 98 years old". It means nothing what a few farmers say about literally human medicine. Farmers are not doctors. Farmers are not chemists. FARMERS ARE FARMERS!! Get it now!?
Farmers are smart, hard working, good people. No doubt. But it's like trusting your plumber to for legal advice.
I went to school for agriculture and know a bit more than most random idiots on the internet.
Send me a link to the study that proves it. Otherwise, it's just your opinion, whether you took some classes once or not. Reasonable people can disagree according to what I've read, which is why I started off by clearly stating MY OPINION on the matter.
I'd put family member's lifetime of knowledge doing actual farming against you any day of the week. Especially since you seem so impressed with yourself.
And BTW, go fuck yourself with this arrogant "Your logic is faulty" nonsense. I have a Ph.D. in physics, so I'm well acquainted with logic, moron. You keep conflating my opinion with some assertion of fact because you think it makes you sound smart or something. How is that logical?

I spit my drink out when you cited WebMD. I thought this was a meme lmao
