The first firearm i bought on my own once i turned 18 was a Springfield XD-9mm with the 4" barrel. Added a tungsten guide rod, new springs, and some True-Glo TFO sights and its now both very accurate and great for concealed carry. Unfortunately I live in the People's Republic of Kalifornia where thats not allowed, and before i was able to sell it, it was lost in a boating accident off Newport Beach.
Prior to that, i did have a few firearms that were gifts from my father. Usually guns he got from friends collections or that were passed down. Some really old stuff too.
Model 1890 Winchester .22 cal pump rifle. (made in 1909)
Model 1892 Winchester 38-40 Lever action (first year, 4 digit serial)
1913 A.H. Fox 16ga double gun. (my most prized firearm)
