My wish? Trump gets like 95% of the vote, creates a new party, implements congressional term limits, and allows another term for presidents. I've never understood why a president must be forced out, but the elected officials can be there for 50 years. What if a president just kills it for 8 years? Why wouldn't you want that president back for another 4 years?
Yea, a lot can happen in 12 years. In terms of SCOTUS and judicial appointments, culture changes, attitude shifts, etc
8 years is good, we just need congressional term limits and encourage more average Joes who are politically inclined (aka you and me) to run for office - even if to represent your district for only one or two terms. I'd love for it to be normal for an everyday person to run and win a district just to serve for one term. Nice way to serve your community and see common sense votes being cast, not bs political votes with politicians more concerned about their job than their community.
The lifetime benefits that allow them to live like a King for only (I think) 5 year's service? That would have to change first. Put Congress on the same social safety net the rest of us have and watch how fast they fix it.
