Just downed rag again last night, we are 8/8 BWL and 5/9 Ahn'Qiraj (just released last week).
It is a time sink, but I really enjoy the people I play with. As with most things in life, it's less about what you're doing and more about who you're doing it with.
If you had an addiction problem, though, good for you for resisting it.
Oh I forgot about AQ! I also did all the fucking work turning mats in for that and was there for the server unlock. Crashed the server, played all night and got through almost all of AQ20 that night. I never did AQ40, I burned out right around there. Iirc we got stuck on chromaggus in BWL and the guild ate shit after our MT quit and went to another guild.
Fun fact, our MT (think his in-game name was Kenco? Guild was Unity on Perenolde) is the guy who wrote the original aggro mod to tell who was pulling top aggro, and our guild beta tested it for release. I had no idea how big of a deal that was at the time, lol. But I distinctly remember I was an under-geared off-tank and we were testing it on Broodlord Lashlayer and when he switched aggro to me he'd always one shot me and it was a progress-killer, haha. I don't even remember what that shit was called now, it's on the tip of my tongue...
I did the same thing back in the day. Luckily current retail is pretty casual friendly (as long as you don't want alts) and you can do quite a bit without a ton of play time....perfect for a filthy casual such as myself.
I think there'll be some ladies who are going to be pretty surprised to find out how many hours they played Candy Crush when God tells them in the next age, lol. One interesting thing is how slow my progress is in some of my games since I started watching most of the videos linked on- ...oh, what was that internet forum called again? ...oh yeah, thedonald.win :)
I just got Titanfall 2, and I really enjoyed what little I’ve played of it. The graphics are purdy, and the movement mechanics are great. The weapons audio is delicious, too.
Currently rotate between WoW, GTA, Civ and Stellaris. Getting too old for twitch shooters like CS and CoD.
Same, I grew up on CS. Good taste pede. I play WoW Classic on Mankrik. Can't bring myself to play retail but maybe when the next xpac drops.
