I live next to a Walgreens in SF ([email protected]) the shelves are 80% empty I don't even know why they’re still open besides the pharmacy. Last week I watched a smelly gross hasn't showered in months homeless guy throw a bunch of stuff in a bag and walk out.
What do people do there, then? Like, if you're a software developer, you're making 200k a year, you're not gonna put up with empty shelves at your local Walgreens, where do you go? Or, is it just a specific few areas that are targeted, so our 200k/year programmers just take an Uber out of the area to a stocked Walgreens? Do they all just order everything?
I walked over to the one on Franklin which had several aisles closed due to an accident then I walked another one on Polk. Younger people order online, seniors are SOL or take a bus to another one. Seems to be a few targeted Walgreens.
Right, so, just like all the other protests, on behalf of minorities and poor people, people are destroying the quality of life (or lives themselves) of minorities and poor people. Once all of the stores here are destroyed, for a little extra money, you'll just have a local go further out to get your stuff.
At what point does Walgreens close these sht hole locations. Have to figure when it's this bad they only keep the doors open because they're terrified of bad PR when leftists and the media scream they abandoned the ferals neighborhood.
Almost everyone in that thread is like" but, but, but, muh poverty. We have to treat the disease not the symptoms" Isn't San Francisco one of the most expensive cities to live in CA? It's not Detroit and people aren't "Stealing bread because they're hungry" They are stealing because they know no one will stop them so it's open season on free shit.
Required reading in university on food deserts. This exact above scenario is what came to mind when I was reading it. Most kids attending university didn't grow up in what we have as a "hood" like I did. I've seen half a dozen big stores shoplifted out of existence.
As a former Walgreens employee, this isn’t just at the San Fran stores. It’s all of them. Policy is to let them steal and do nothing. An employee can get in big trouble for trying to stop a thief.
I was in a Walgreens in a bad side of a NorCal city and this shady looking guy was loitering outside and when he came in the store the black woman clerk yelled at him to leave, which he did. I asked her what he did and she said he steals stuff regularly. She then provided me excellent service. So that happened. At least some people are handling it properly.
As yes, San Fran, who elected the commie adopted son of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn as District Attorney; Chesa Boudin. I'm sure it'll be fine.
As I have said many times. The useful idiots on the ground think this is just about installing progressive politics. Their masters know this is about making these cities such shitholes it drives the cancer out where their lemmings will continue to vote blue and destroy the country.
I see shoplifters walk out of CVS here in SoCal on a regular basis. Staff aren't allowed to stop them. Police won't respond. It's nothing like in the pictures but it's normal in California.
Now watch all the lowlife hood rats start crying that there is nothing on the shelves to steal.
AOC would say it is institutional racism that is not restocking the shelves so they can steal.
Walgreens sure has a lot of empty bread shelves.
Muh raycis food deserts.
Stick it up your ass, fuckwad!
I think he was being sarcastic
I realized that as soon as I hit submit.
Everything going according to plan. SF is supposed to be the test case for all America

This is the one at Gough & Fell.

They no doubt buy all their stuff online, even when it is sold for scalper prices.

SF is going to be hobo Mad Max soon.
Good. They earned the title.

All according to Amazon’s plans.
Honestly with everything going on now you could just ignore it and it would go away within a week.
Can't go against their religion.
Holy shit, some of those leftist replies. Pure denial. Blaming Walgreen's for "not securing their shit".
They claim it is solely about poverty. No shitheads, it's literally about being able to steal up to a certain amount without being charged.
That, and defunding police, telling police to stand down, no bail, releasing prisoners, etc. etc.
Ah, but let's not forget how Walgreens and other retailers enacting tighter inventory control measures is RAYCIS...
There is no consistency in any leftist argument. They will change like the wind.

Good. Serves that city fucking right. The stores should just close and see how SF likes it.

Enjoy paying your reparations.
I hope the natives start going after the H-1B's that would be a glorious thing to witness.
So arm yourselves and unload on thieves
I'm of the opinion to let that shithole city implode and burn to the ground. Maybe something better will rise from the ashes.
this was posted in July when there was more to steal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLbvtRIo3i8
