I can understand some of your points. I am the last of the boomers, and I certainly wouldn’t consider my time “peak.” Getting drafted for Vietnam Nam? Race riots in high school? Not a lot of good times there. We did have a great soundtrack to our life and fantastic concerts though.
I think part of it is that many boomers tend to eat up what they get from the media on television as they have more trust in it. Maybe news was more trusting at some point, I don't know. Our generation(s) are potentially a lot more skeptical.

I think I'm making headway with some of my family. But it is a process. Not blue-pilled, but neither are they red-pilled. A frustrating middle ground.
