So because I helped load those “radioactive weapons” you want me dead. I and thousands of other airmen help deal out doses of death to our enemies you can’t fathom. Side note come WW3 I hope you get some.

Point of fact the war wasn't illegal, it was authorized through Congress.

Just because you don't like something doesn't make it illegal.

Sincerely,

Someone who killed brown people in the middle east.

You’re comparing me and mine to Nazis. Go eat a dick.

It is the principle. The trials would happen if there were any warcrimes, that case was just very horrendous; however, the principle is still valid.

Warcrimes were committed and trials were warranted and yet they never happened

In all honesty, people still have not come to terms with what they have done and supported all those years ago, even today. The willful ignorance and even refusal to come face to face with them is one of the biggest reasons for the weakness and problems(neocons, etc...) of conservatives.

In fact, it is one of the reasons the left gets away with so much abuse as it is

Sunshine I assume you have never been to war, congratulations. I on the other hand have spent 5+ years of my life in the ME. I am not a Nazi, the rest of the military are not war criminals. We have had trials in military court over misconduct, we police our own quite well. I carry zero shame in fulfilling my duties in the military and would do them 100 times over if it meant that the world didn’t have to endure another Saddam or ISIS. War isn’t pretty, and if the Iraqi army didn’t dissolve into the public and stood and fought this conversation wouldn’t be happening, we brought a fight to them for their atrocities they ran and hid in the population causing more suffering for their people. You need to do some more research on what happened not just some left wing shit documentary, try a book or jockos the unraveling podcast.

Anybody who understands human behavior and human history would agree with the nuremburg defense. People are in denial if they believe that they wouldn't just follow orders in the same situation. At most .1% of the population will deny orders when placed under extreme pressure.

If you pay taxes you are directly funding the same war crimes you are accusing him of doing.

And as a result, this country(and as a consequence myself) is the target of exponentially increased terrorism.

I pointed out the hypocrisy in the main comment.

I'm completely against the war, i just hate it when people act like the nuremburg defense isn't a legitimate defense. It very much is.
