If you came here illegally, no matter your age, how long you’ve been here, or your circumstances, you deserve to be sent back: Change My Mind

It is unfortunate that kids are dragged into it. A three-year-old Mexican kid whose parents drag him over the border certainly didn't knowingly commit a crime. But the parents did, and it doesn't change the fact that the law has been broken.

If my dad stole a car and gave it to me without telling me what he did, I'm not the thief. But I still have to give the car back, because it's not mine and I have no right to it. And once America starts actually enforcing immigration laws, and suddenly dragging your kids with you doesn't get you a free pass, I bet there will be fewer cases like that.

Yeah, it’s unfortunate in those circumstances. But we must uphold the law or people see weakness and exploit it.

It's the same basic principle as "we don't negotiate with terrorists" - we're not even going to entertain it, so don't bother trying. I don't want them to take a mile, so I am not giving them an inch.

It's not hate. It's a clear, consistent approach to law enforcement.

Every other Nation does that. Try sneaking into Mexico, see what they do to you ...

This is why I give literally zero shits about “muh family separation” at the border.

Can't change your mind. There's nothing to change. If there are no borders and enforcement of them, the country ceases to exist.
