She took us all the way to the White House AND THEN stayed for an additional 3.5 years. Most campaign managers leave long before that. I imagine she had a hand in choosing her replacement, training them, and leaving the current campaign team in good hands before she makes her departure.
Also you have no idea if she has something planned for outside of DC after this.
She could be campaigning outside of DC once she leaves the white house. She hasn't said what her next project will be. She might start working with congressional candidates too, which is equally important to the presidential election.
