Most don't. Nor the will. What if your kid committed suicide because you took him or her away from friends and everything they loved? Would it be worth it?
Yes, in Kellyanne's case the daughter is pretty far gone. But in other cases the children aren't that far gone into what you describe, but cutting them off cold turkey is a huge deal. I'm just saying it's not that easy.
If your kid wants to commit suicide because you took their phone then you definitely need to stop their unhealthy obsession with that shit by, guess what? Taking it the fuck away.
Yeah, I agree. It's just harder than it sounds. I know I sound like a wuss, but teen kids are tricky.
Here's an example. My dad is conservative. I have more or less been conservative my whole life, but I had my rebellious periods. He never got authoritative. He just answered my questions and offered his opinions. Eventually I came around. It took more than a decade.
But, I'm lucky to be alive in a lot of ways for all the fucking around I did.
Yes. That would help. I'm just saying it's not that easy. Trust me, I've been pondering it long and hard. I had what seemed like conservative-leaning teens until recently.
Have you seen their daughters social media? After 5 minutes of browsing, my first thought was that this girl was going to be dead before she is 22. She’s got some seriously reckless tendencies and KA needs to do whatever it takes to help her. And yes, KA is going to have to be firm and be okay with her daughter being upset with her.
Parents taking action in their kids best interest, even if the kids hates it, is good for the kid, even if it's the wrong action. The kid KNOWS their parent cares about them an is trying to ensure their welfare. That's the most important thing.
If your kid has severe mental issues and can't see this basic signal, then it might not work. So it depends on the kid.

It's a lot harder than it sounds for a parent.

Best of luck to you and your kids. Things like this are indeed difficult ...
Thank you. I appreciate it.
You move out there and go visit somewhere with other respectful kids about her age every Sunday. Maybe volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club on Monday.
