I've been watching a lot of older movies lately. Saw the 3 Beverly Hills Cop movies, and yesterday started watching Gone With the Wind. ALL of them were preceded with trigger warnings. Is this another "new normal"? I find this offensive and annoying. We can't even watch a movie without being reminded that spoiled children are afraid to be exposed to anything different? Is every movie before "current year" going to have to have a warning that norms were different? But for now, at least, my books are untouched.
