They aren't even trying to be funny anymore. Every single show is just a 20 minute rant about Orange Man Bad, followed by some interviews with fellow travelers talking about Orange Man Bad. I would literally rather be kicked in the balls than watch any of these shows, because at least the pain of getting kicked in the nuts ends after a few minutes.
Johnny Carson was maybe the only late night host that was ever worth a shit. And I'm not some boomer remembering the good ol days, I wasn't alive when he was on the air.

I remember Leno and Letterman being not so bad, or partisan for that matter. And they'd make fun of both sides.
I haven't ever really been an avid late night watcher at any point, so maybe I'm remembering wrong.
Letterman didn't get bad until Bush Jr. got elected. Leno was always a decent down the middle guy, but neither one of them was as witty or personable as Carson. Johnny Carson at his best made you feel like you were there with him, just having a good conversation. None of the people who followed him have approached that level of skill as a host. That may be intentional on the part of the networks, though, because they realized they could use the late night hosts as basically a propaganda mouthpiece.
You know who I'm talking about, the guy that cries all the time. I can't remember his name. He was Carolla's bitch on the Man Show.
