I know exactly what you mean. My parents are in their 70s and they think my political beliefs are crazy. My Dad worked hard his whole life without ever asking the government for a thing. He retired a few years ago putting in over 30 years with the railroad. The funny thing is when I speak issue to issue with him, he agrees with me almost 100%. I respect and love my father so much but he just can't wrap his head around the fact that his values are now considered conservative. The Democrats are no longer the party of his youth. The media has fooled and divided the people of our nation. The Bible describes the present climate perfectly. People are stumbling around clueless of the scales on their eyes and ears.
