When my “green man” with a little flag pole kept getting stolen I painted the grab points of the little green man with my dogs shit. It was a success. I never got to see the results in real time but I did see that someone got shitty hands trying to grab it up.

Glue traps are designed to not dry out until something like months of exposure, so fresh ones should be good until election day. Flypaper is a good example of this kind of glue.
I have (and use) glue-traps for bugs in the garden that are still sticky after being out in the weather for over a year (Pacific NW rainy weather, no less).
