To me, the only person who could POSSIBLY honestly think they're hearing "Monkey" there is someone who hears "Obama" and immediately THINKS "Monkey."
The only reason anyone has to ever think someone would yell "monkey" is if they are looking for or expecting racism and latch on to anything that could possibly be what they are looking for. If they are racist themselves, they might hear monkey and think of black folk.
