Big question to me, and I know it really doesn't matter too much, but did they find a gun or not?

They fact the media has not answered this question tells me there was one.

Its possible the media don't know either, but my gut says there was a gun in the car.

If there wasn't a gun, that would have already leaked from the investigation.

I think that makes sense, but on the flip side, if there was a gun, why not release that info?

Just like the Floyd incident, by withholding the evidence you allow people to assume the worst and destroy a city in anger.

I'm fairly certain he had a gun in his hand and they were trying to give him a chance to comply and he started walking away. That or he was reaching for a gun in the seat. Either way completely justifiable shooting.

Problem is you can't tell, it could be glasses, car keys, or a knife. Considering he was walking towards his car, about to open the doors... i think car keys are pretty reasonable. If it was a gun, why would he pull it out only to walk away from the cops and jump in his car?

I didn't see anything in his hands but I definitely saw something in his waistband as he was walking away from the cops and I think it was a gun.

Agreed. If there definitely wasn't a gun, you know they would've plastered that all over the place next to this guy's picture

Yes this is why they need to release the body cam footage immediately.

The defunding of police isn't going to help that situation either.

Small depts rarely get the funding necessary to purchase them, I'm sure they would wear them if they could specifically for situations like this

it doesnt matter. As soon as they reach into unknown the cop has the right to defend himself. Cops are not supposed to know whats in the car.
