Between the Civil War and the Great Depression (so about 70 years), 12 out of 15 Presidents were Republicans. If the Democrats fail this year (and I fully expect Biden to fail) and Trump cleans house throughout his second term, I think such a period of Republican dominance can come into being again. Hopefully with a GOP equally cleansed of RINOs and Never-Trumpers, of course.
