Damn, was hoping to have an excuse to burn my city down so that I could be 100% immune from COVID without a mask for a few hours!

Old pair of Brooks (made in Vietnam). However, I’ve been needing a new pair for a while now, and with my next paycheck (with no payroll tax taken out), I’ll be taking a hard look at New Balance! (Have to fit right or my knees get destroyed.)

NEVER Nike or anything made in Chyna.

Brooks are great running shoes. No judgement here homie. I’ve got a pair. My next pair of training shoes are gonna be NB for sure.

Asics shoes may be another good alternative. Tart cherry extract capsules seemed to have helped my knees.

unicornpoop 4 points ago +4 / -0

I had chronic runner's knees and overpronated ankles. Got a pair of vibram barefoot runners and have never had any issues again.

3
simpson5774 3 points ago +3 / -0

Take a look at Altra, they aren't the most stylish however the 'zero drop' and the wide toe box really helped me with the toe issues I was having. I love new balance for my everyday shoes however once I tried my Altra escalante 2's it was night and day.... with that being said everyone's foot is different.

Also for everyone reading this, if you have foot tendonitis problems, walking on grass barefoot is a gamechanger.

1
CaliPede24601 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’ll do that, thanks! I walk anywhere from 1-4 miles/day in a pair of Vibram vapor gloves, so I’m all about the zero drop, barefoot feel. Just doesn’t work for running for me.

My latest sneakers absolutely had to be made in the USA, same for any new purchases I am making for other products, so New Balance it was for my new shoes.

I'll say though, they need more USA made offerings. NB has a lot of stuff made overseas still, the majority of their catalog in fact. The USA made items are cool but limited in options. They should expand the USA lineup substantially, there is a huge market for it!

We all are, friend. California's in play, I can feel it. Picking Harris was probably the worst tactical mistake the Dems made

Good for you, Pede.

I wish my knees would let me run again.

But too many years of 12+ miles a day have destroyed them. I miss running so much. And any serious runner knows there is a huge difference between running and jogging.

Enjoy your runs and being more healthy than 90% of Americans.

Runners for Kek!

Couple miles 1-2 times a week in addition to lifting and daily walks, hardly ever in the evenings though so this was definitely out of the ordinary for me!
