Last time I voted I had to go to the "republican" table and I felt so awkward that everyone knew my party. Is that normal?? I'm thinking of just switching to no preference so they can't play games with my vote?

LOL, life long "Democrat" here. Infiltrate them.
I’m from Cali, but live abroad. I declined to state party affiliation when requesting my absentee ballot for fear that I would not receive one if I selected Republican.
I'm in LA too. We're having our ballots mailed to us. All of us. Just make sure you hand deliver it.

Demand a poll booth to walk into like we've done for over two centuries now
Republican table? Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?
yeah I thought it was weird myself. I think it was for a primary though. This was a few years ago.
Was it a primary election? There is no Republican table for a general election.
No Republican table for a primary either.
What you should do is get the hell out of California, and reinforce a red state. Even living in a tent for a couple months is better than living in a blue city.
I think you should move.
I think you two should just leave it alone, don't confuse it.
Yup. Do not change it to Republican
