The debasement of meritocracy is really dissapointing to see. Not unsurprising though.

I don't want a group of scientists who got into the field because of their immutable characteristics. I want scientists who are curious about the world and discovering what more there is to know about it. Where in an empirical based discipline is room for "Well we can see relativity at work here and also BLM"? I know theyre forcing it in there but damn, its a shame.
