The Nazis had a Gay Division apparently? I read about it in an anarchist news paper a long time ago but I don't remember enough details to find info online. Which used that to call any "conservative" gays (with a work ethic) Nazis.

Read up on Ernst Rohm. That's where the conservative gay trope came from, among other things about the history of the Nazi Party, and why Hitler specifically went after the German gay community where they used to specifically recruit from there.
