As an aside, our high school competed against Herschel's high school, in sports. The dude was an absolute beast back then. If you could tackle him it was like the highlight of your high school career. He ran track also and it was awesome just to watch him. My brother worked with Herschels dad, and he told my brother that Herschel didn't even start training with weights that much until college. Before that it was just push-ups and dragging heavy shit around the yard.

One of them for sure but Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders might be better. Barry Sanders had the best single season of any player in CFB history the year he won the Heisman.

Herschel wasted his prime years in the USFL not by his choice. If he had went to the NFL a few years earlier I see him maybe being in the top 10 for rushing yards. Sadly NFL had to be idiots and wouldn't let college kids play earlier. It was good for Hersh as he met Trump there.

Honestly I'd pick Herschel over Bo; Bo was a gimmick more than anything he never fully dedicated sadly. If he had he woulda been an all time great running back. Barry I do agree on.

I think Herschel was the state champion in the 100 m dash AND shot put. Think about that for a second.

My dad when to see him play against Treutlen county. He said it looked like a senior in high school on a field full of 7th graders.
