I suspect that story has also been misrepresented. You don't just get a no-knock warrant for nothing. It's hard. You need a lot of evidence. I bet these people really were involved in drug trafficking. It was the right house (originally people said it wasn't but that turned out to be a lie).
She also wasn't sleeping in her bed when she was shot. I wonder if she was used as a human shield by that guy while he shot at the cops tbh. There is also apparently video evidence from neighbors where the police can be heard identifying themselves, but I haven't seen it.
Probably the situation wasn't handled well, but ultimately my feeling is "play stupid games, win stupid prizes". I have no sympathy if these people were drug trafficking. And when you decide to shoot at a huge gang of people entering your house you are also just making a bad decision. Tactically it was bad too - you either want to fire a warning shot to deter or make sure you can kill. This guy just sprayed bullets and hit an officer in the leg. I mean it's asking to be killed and escalating a losing situation for you. Like in most of these cases the victims made a lot of poor decisions. Also I don't see how it had anything to do with race. At best it's a case where police could reform to be better at their jobs, but it's not like this is a common occurrence. It's extremely rare and mistakes happen. That's my take on it anyway.
There is a guy, a former black cop I believe, who is a popular guy in the black conservative movement and social media, who posted a video of him dissecting this situation. It’s been awhile so I don’t recall the details but he seemed to really understand what took place.

Officer Tatum of the Tatum Report. He is very insightful, especially in regard to issues involving the Police.
