Explained to her what actually happened, showed full video, told her about the settlement, and she was blown away.

My Mom HAS NEVER, EVER, had an interest in politics. EVER. She's one of those "Oh, everytime I see politics I just get so pissed off and I just can't even look at it. None of it is ever going to change", now engages in political discussions with me all the time. She's voting for Trump.
