A retail establishment that I have been patronizing for 20 years had a long line of people at the guns and ammo station for the first time. I see one customer usually and Instead of a greying man in wrangler jeans and a plain carhartt t-shirt with worn hiking shoes those in line were twenty-somethings wearing fun graphic teas, flat brimmed hats, board shorts and sandals. They didn't strike me as hunters lol.

The last few months have shown, at a moment's notice, the social order can fall apart and you're literally on your own.

Odd, just the other day a friend, slightly panicked, asked if I could help him build an AR. So I got to looking through the usual suspects and he bought a complete MOE classic lower for $230 and picked up 1000rds each of steel/brass case .223/5.56, $242 for the steel and $384 for the brass. He's trying to decide on what he wants for an upper atm. However, it didn't appear to be a shortage or price gouging.
