Panhandle Pede here, don't count on this being a Cat 3. That's what they said about Michael in 2018 and it went from a 3 to a 5+ over night. These clowns don't have a clue when it comes to predictions. Be ready, prep as much as you can, and be prepared to evacuate if you must.
To assemble your kit store items in airtight plastic bags and put your entire disaster supplies kit in one or two easy-to-carry containers such as plastic bins or a duffel bag.

Additional Emergency Supplies
Since Spring of 2020, the CDC has recommended people include additional items in their kits to help prevent the spread of coronavirus or other viruses and the flu.
Consider adding the following items to your emergency supply kit based on your individual needs:

Non-prescription medications such as pain relievers, anti-diarrhea medication, antacids or laxatives
Prescription eyeglasses and contact lens solution
Infant formula, bottles, diapers, wipes and diaper rash cream
Pet food and extra water for your pet
Cash or traveler's checks
Important family documents such as copies of insurance policies, identification and bank account records saved electronically or in a waterproof, portable container
Sleeping bag or warm blanket for each person
Complete change of clothing appropriate for your climate and sturdy shoes
Fire extinguisher
Matches in a waterproof container
Feminine supplies and personal hygiene items
Mess kits, paper cups, plates, paper towels and plastic utensils
Paper and pencil
Books, games, puzzles or other activities for children
Maintaining Your Kit
After assembling your kit remember to maintain it so it’s ready when needed:
Keep canned food in a cool, dry place.
Store boxed food in tightly closed plastic or metal containers.
Replace expired items as needed.
Re-think your needs every year and update your kit as your family’s needs change.

Thanks, fren! Member of the Cajun Navy here! Prepped and ready if needed! Gotta love this part of the country, when disaster strikes, we’re all one big family!
That’s some good info. I’ve been watching the European models too. They definitely have it on a more westward track. My best personal guess is that it will go right over Beaumont.
Are we going to have an official Hurricane Laura thread? I’m in NW Louisiana and we’re already under Tropical Storm WARNING. Please pray for the people of the SW LA and NE TX coast. This is is looking to be catastrophic.
PS Governor Dumb Bel Edwards has refused to open shelters and contraflow on the evacuation routes.
Yeah fuck the main stream media! I remember going through Katrina and all her refugees over here on the west side of the state. The press made a huge huge deal out of it. Then just a little while later Rita destroyed the west side of the state and the media really didn’t give a fuck for more than about two days. Even though Rita did more damage than Katrina.
I predict: Trump is going to warn the good people of Mississippi that they are at risk, and then the Leftwing media are going to throw a weeks long hissyfit trying to claim Trump lied!

I’m right in the path on the coast. We’ll get rocked. I’m ready. I just want everyone to be safe and prepared.
Have you had to deal with a hurricane before?
Yes many times. They suck
Unprepared people leads to a disaster and a nice juicy distraction for the media. They know exactly what they are doing.

Don’t forget supplies for your furry family members!
Wish we had a separate forum where we could talk about stuff like this.
Agreed. But I just wanted to give some general help to anyone who needs it. Hoping everyone stays safe!
Definitely. Appreciate you bringing it up as I was not even aware.
No problem! I was really kind of hoping for a sticky so that as many people as possible could see it. Just want folks to be safe.

Thanks, fren! Member of the Cajun Navy here! Prepped and ready if needed! Gotta love this part of the country, when disaster strikes, we’re all one big family!
God bless y’all!
Thank you so much! Any and all prayers accepted. Looks like the party will start about 7 PM and last through five or 6 AM
Is this a year for Republican hurricanes or what? Marco? Laura? What's next, Hurricane Ted?
Hurricane Don scheduled for November. Gonna blow the libs away!
Well Laura’s headed for a HEAVILY conservative region, so my guess it gets extremely light coverage by the propagandists.

Thanks. That’s a good site, I’m gonna save that one! I’ve been using this site

lol I didn’t know I needed Frankie in my life. He’s a rockstar. Sadly he was wrong about Marco but what he said can definitely be applied to Laura!

I wish we could get an official thread. I can’t believe contraflow isn’t going on right this minute. Our governor is the biggest sack of shit!
