Not me. I have been in Idaho for 40 years. I know of a few that moved here and voted the exact same way as they did down there. I was also told how dumb I was by those same people.
Just went to Spokane, camped in Idaho and took day trip to Montana. Never hid that I was from California. All the people I met didnt mind, but I'm also not a leftist.
Please tell me you were not the asshole driving fucking 10 mph under the speed limit in the left lane FOR 10 FUCKING MILES last week? If so, fuck you! If not, its pretty here isn't it? Where did you camp?
Ya I didnt drive once while there my family from Spokane did. Camped at lake Pend Oreille. Yep you sound like someone from up there. Should check out southern California drivers. Speed limits are more like guidelines.
Oh im still pissed at that asshole. Here speed limits are guidelines as well, we just tend to get pissed when you are going 10 under and refusing to get the fuck over from Spokane well into Post Falls. Not saying people from Idaho don't do that, its just this year its been almost always out of state people like that asshat with cali plates.
Guessing family has a cabin up there? For how close it is, I never really fish it or go up there. But the little time I have its gorgeous!
Don't let people like that phase you. We have issues with housing being priced out of the amount local make. I am in that group right now. But we need more people to come here or we will never grow. I, and most people I know, have no issue with people from cali moving here as long as they don't try to change things. Moving here for a change from the dumb ass laws there is 100% understandable.
I will suggest getting your Idaho licenses and plates the day you move here. You have to live here for, I think, 90 days before you can get a in state hunting and fishing license (might be 6 months.) Also, when you do get your plates for your cars, get the park pass even if you do not use it. Its like $15 bucks and goes to upkeep for public lands. Any state park charges like $10 a day to park there or its $15 a year if you get the park pass. Worth every cent!
I'm a Californian who just visited Boise... it is unbelievable how much they hate Californians. It just made me want to move there even more.
We like the ones who move here and do not try to change things for the "better."
Which is completely understandable. I'll bring that same energy.
I left in 2014
Everyone I meet who left is a conservative

I haven't gotten into political debates, but I have seen those same idiots. Complain about California and then vote for the same shit.
You got the Asshoe people from California
Sorry Pede
I moved here from CA. (Sorry for all the traffic and rising prices)
I try to keep things better here by voting Republican. These Dems are nuts, especially that loser mayor of Boise.
You got to be careful Democrats run as Republicans up here... The "R" doesn't really mean much.
And Boise is the liberal part of the state.
Boise, and Blaine County (Hollywood actor zone)
Don't forget Moscow. The north end of Boise = all of Moscow for the most part.

Yes. Come, leave your money, then leave.
I'm thrifty, and I'll be back permanently. Thanks.
