Ya I didnt drive once while there my family from Spokane did. Camped at lake Pend Oreille. Yep you sound like someone from up there. Should check out southern California drivers. Speed limits are more like guidelines.

Here speed limits are guidelines as well, we just tend to get pissed when you are going 10 under and refusing to get the fuck over from Spokane well into Post Falls. Not saying people from Idaho don't do that, its just this year its been almost always out of state people like that asshat with cali plates.
Guessing family has a cabin up there? For how close it is, I never really fish it or go up there. But the little time I have its gorgeous!
