The truth is it’s governors, mayors, city councils, and unelected county health administrators that are putting in place the mandates. NONE of these officials have the right to make law. Legislative local or state or federal branches make the laws.
Recommended use? Preferred use? Individual businesses deciding- okay, I’ll deal with that and not go to places that pander in fear. But government mandates are not laws, but we are programmed to follow the rules! Get in line or get out.
President Trump no doubt knows this. But he’s been vocal about masks for awhile now, from what I can tell he’s recommending- but I’ll kindly say “no thank you”.
She has literally appointed herself dictatorial power. She declared an emergency, letting her issue Executive Orders, apparently with the weight of law. And she can just extend that "emergency" as long as she wants! The legislature is flat on their backs. She is literally, actually, a tyrannical self-declared dictator! I wouldn't have thought this possible, but here we are.
Nothing is stopping her. It's now going to the Michigan Supreme Court, but we know what a crap shoot that can be.

Here in MI, Whitmer has ultimate power. Checks and balances are no more with her not needing to work with the state legislature.
The citizens can’t do a thing, only at the federal level could she be dealt with.
