I'm wondering if there's any accountability for where the money from all these huge fines OSHA keeps slapping on small businesses is going. Kate appears to be really raking it in with her attack dogs.
OSHA has no authorities against employers with fewer than 50 (think that's the number) employees. Also, OSHA's own rules only demand PPE if a threat is recognized, so all an employer has to do is say "there's no threat." Sue the *&($ out of OSHA.
Problem is while that may be what it says, it isn't what they are doing - I'm hoping they will have a good lawyer willing to take their case, as I doubt they have the resources to defend themselves now.
Where can someone turn to for protection from this? The federal government? IT sounds like this pharmacy owner needs help and needs it fast.
